Innovation governance in the forest sector: Reviewing concepts, trends and gaps

Innovation in the forest sector is a growing research interest and within this field, there attention for institutional, policy societal dimensions particular when it comes to question of how support innovativeness sector. This Special Issue therefore focuses on governance aspects, relating bridging business political-institutional-societal levels. includes social/societal factors, goals implications that have recently been studied under label social innovation. Furthermore, emergence bioeconomy as paradigm goal has become driver variety innovation processes company institutional Our article provides tentative definition “innovation governance” attempts state-of-art review For structuring we propose distinguish between organizational/managerial, or studies. forestry sector, specifically, suggest studies focusing (i) innovative management goods services; (ii) such, (iii) specific (transformational) approaches may be derived from combined such sustainability, regional development, bioeconomy.
